Case Summary

The tribunal struck out the claimant's complaints of pregnancy discrimination, automatic unfair dismissal, and wrongful dismissal for failure to comply with tribunal orders and having no reasonable prospects of success. The claimant failed to provide evidence of the dates of her pregnancy despite multiple tribunal orders, which was essential to determine the protected period for the discrimination and dismissal claims. The complaints of race and religious discrimination were allowed to proceed to a full hearing in September 2026.

Why this outcome?

Non-compliance with orders

The pregnancy discrimination and automatic unfair dismissal complaints were struck out for non-compliance with tribunal orders requiring the claimant to provide evidence of the dates of her pregnancy, which was essential to determine whether discriminatory acts fell within the protected period. The wrongful dismissal complaint was struck out as having no reasonable prospects of success.
