The unanimous Judgment of the Employment Tribunal is that the claimant was not unfairly dismissed and the claim is dismissed. 2. The remaining complaint (of detriment by reason of participation in relevant trade union activities pursuant to section 146 of the Trade Union and Labour 30 Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992) is dismissed having been withdrawn. REASONS 1. The claimant raised a claim for unfair dismissal and trade union detriment on 24 May 2023. The claims were disputed and by the outset of the hearing, the claim had been focussed to that of unfair dismissal only, the argument being 35 the dismissal fell outwith the range of reasonable responses.
