Decision Text
EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS Claimant: Taneeka Bennett Respondent: Croydon Council JUDGMENT Rule 38(1)(a) Employment Tribunal Rules of Procedure 2024 The claim of unfair dismissal is struck out because the claimant did not have the necessary two years’ service. REASONS 1. According to the claim form, the claimant was employed from 15 February 2024 to 15 July 2024, a period of less than two years. 2. On 18 December 2024 the Tribunal wrote to the claimant to advise that as a general rule she could not bring a claim of unfair dismissal without that period of service unless there were special circumstances which did not seem to apply in her case. 3. She was given seven days in which to respond but no response has been made. 4. Accordingly, the Tribunal does not have jurisdiction to consider a complaint of unfair dismissal.
