The respondent not being present or represented at the hearing in excess of 10 minutes after the scheduled start time of the Final Hearing; on the Tribunal being satisfied that the respondent has been served with the Notice of Hearing; and on the respondent having not contacted the Tribunal following receipt of the same and not having otherwise communicated with the Tribunal; on the claimant’s application made at the Bar, the Tribunal determined to proceed with the hearing in the respondent’s absence in terms of Rule 47 of The Employment Tribunal Procedure Rules 2024 (as amended). 2.
