EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNALS (SCOTLAND) Case No:8000617/2025 Held inGlasgow via Cloud Video Platform (CVP)on11 September 2025 Employment JudgeL Doherty Mr W Mcfall Claimant In Person Valve Components Limited (in Administration)Respondent No appearance and No representation JUDGMENT OF THE EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL The judgment of the Employment Tribunal is that: 1.The time limit for presentation of this claim isextended under section189(5) of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act (TULCRA). 2.The complaint that the respondent failed to comply with a requirement of section 188 and section 188A of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 is well founded; the respondent proposed to dismiss as redundant more than 20 employeesat one establishment within a period of 90 days or less; the respondentfailed to ensure that employee representatives were elected in accordance with s.188A, and then to consult with them in accordance with s.188. 3.The Tribunal makes a protective award in respect of the claimant as an employee it was proposed to dismiss as redundant at the respondent’s establishment at Block 1, 5 Kelvin Park South, East Kilbride, Glasgow, G75 0RH and the respondent is ordered to payremuneration for the protected period. The protected period begins with 15 March 2024 and is for 90 days. REASONS Reasons were provided orally. Date sent to parties18 September 2025
