Case Summary

Mrs C Stanley complained of unfair dismissal against Zebra Technologies Europe Ltd. The claimant had been employed for less than two years, which falls short of the two-year service requirement under Section 108 of the Employment Rights Act 1996. The complaint was struck out as the claimant lacked the necessary qualifying period and failed to provide an acceptable reason why the complaint should not be struck out.

Why this outcome?

No qualifying employment period

The claim was struck out because the claimant was employed for less than two years, which is below the statutory minimum service requirement of two years required by Section 108 of the Employment Rights Act 1996 to bring an unfair dismissal complaint.
